Last week, we published an extraordinary review by Supran, Rahmstorf, and Oreskes detailing all of the ways that ExxonMobil knew that climate change was a real danger and misled the public about what they knew. Much of the information has been around and in the hands of investigative journalists and others, but the paper does the most thorough job ever of rounding it all up. It is a compelling story of corporate deceit.

The paper has been covered all over the place, including in the New York Times and The Guardian. The figure below is getting a lot of posts, it shows how accurate the models that ExxonMobil had were at predicting the future rise in temperature while they hid that fact and said either no worries or we still don’t know.

Read the whole paper. It’s worth your while.
