Holden, as always, appreciate so much your candor, insight and gift for writing to compel people to read your words. Hope v v very many people read this. (Regardless, you’ve set a new bar in our house, where I read aloud to the husband all the time -- got to watch the word meter when I do that, which was pretty much impossible this time.) Thanks

Thank you. Besides worrying about DEi, Israel and plagiarism some of the critics of the presidents are looking to put businessmen as college leaders.

Conservatives seem to be itching to get 7 figure salaries being presidents of state universities in Florida.

Dear Professor Thorp,

If I may, the call for change may need to be qualified as in: unity-respecting change (e.g., natural: biological development), which is necessarily slow: almost imperceptible, as if testing our patience. Isaiah Berlin brought into figural salience for all to see the devastation that is the rush to build a better world on the timescales of our imaginations.

Happy New Year :)

Thanking you,

Yours truly,

posina
