Easy to beat up on science about integrity because we're so damn open about our failures and mistakes. We value disclosure and harsh interrogation of error. I'd like to see much more attention paid to the lack of integrity in business, government, the media and other institutions that have been so fully captured by the oligarchs. Sadly, with the shift of our younger PhDs from "academic" (discovery) science to "industry", the corrupting effects of corporate money will surely have a degrading effect on scientific ethics.
